The Way It Was: RED SOFT at the "RIF "Caucasus" 2021

On December 20-21 the 6th Russian Internet Forum (RIF) "Caucasus" was held in Makhachkala.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Republic of Dagestan and the State Autonomous Institution of the Republic of Dagestan "Center of Information Technologies". The general partner of the forum was RED SOFT Company.

The main theme of the "RIF "Caucasus" 2021 RIF was the digital transformation of the economy, urban environment and education.

Leading IT-industry experts and government representatives discussed a wide range of issues. Among them:

- at what pace is the digitalization of the Russian economy proceeding?

- what methods of state stimulation are now needed by the IT industry?

- what are the difficulties encountered by the regions in the digitalization of the urban environment, and how are they being dealt with?

- what legislative initiatives are needed at this stage and in the future?

At the plenary session "Digital transformation of the regions. From Idea to Implementation", Rustam Rustamov, Deputy CEO, spoke on behalf of RED SOFT. The topic of his speech was "Implementation of a typical automated workplace for government employees as part of the digital transformation of regions".

The speaker noted that TARM was one of the most important projects in the strategy of digitalization of government administration and described in detail how RED SOFT products, in particular the RED OS operating system, can help implement this.

The event also included a round table "Import Substitution Technologies: Practical Cases and Solutions" devoted to import substitution and IT human resources.

In addition, at the event venue an agreement on cooperation in science and development of innovation activities between Dagestan State University and RED SOFT was signed.

An exhibition was organized at the forum grounds, where Russian developers presented their solutions. At the RED SOFT booth there was a demonstration of the RED OS operating system running on the Baikal-M architecture.
