RED OS became the first operating system, certified according to the “Requirements for Levels of Confidence” by FSTEC of Russia

RED SOFT, the russian developer, in accordance with the current regulation on the certification system for information security tools (approved by Order of the FSTEC of Russia dated April 3, 2018 No. 55), with the assistance of an accredited by FSTEC of Russia laboratory, successfully completed testing of a new version of the information security tool - the RED OS 7.2 operating system (certificate No. 4060 dated 01/12/2019).

The FSTEC of Russia confirmed the results of certification tests, as well as agreed on the model of the security functions of RED OS and all the changes made to the information security tool, which is confirmed by the certificate of conformity valid until 2024.

The FSTEC of Russia certificate confirms that RED OS, version 7.2 is a general-purpose operating system of type A with built-in tools for protection against unauthorized access to information that does not contain information constituting a state secret and meets:
- “Information security requirements that prescribes levels of confidence for the technical protection of information tools and tools for ensuring the security of information technologies” (Order of the FSTEC of Russia dated July 30, 2018 No. 131) - according to level 4 of confidence;
- “Information Security Requirements for Operating Systems” (Order of the FSTEC of Russia dated August 19, 2016, No. 119), “OS Type "A" Protection Profile of the fourth protection class. ИТ.ОС.А4.ПЗ” (FSTEC of Russia, 2017).

Using the certified edition of RED OS version 7.2, it is possible to protect critical information infrastructure (CII) objects, government information systems (GIS), automated control systems for production and technological processes (ACS TP), personal data information systems (ISPDn) up to class 1 (significance category, level) of security, inclusive, as well as public information systems (PIS) class II.
