The Murom College of Radio Electronic Instrument Engineering has been accredited as a RED SOFT competence centre

The Murom College of Radio Electronic Instrument Engineering has been accredited as a centre of competence of RED SOFT, a Russian manufacturer and supplier of IT solutions and services.

This year in preparation for the open regional championship of the Vladimir region "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) under the competence "Network and System Administration" Murom College of Radio Electronic Instrument Engineering used as an operating system RED OS (by RED SOFT) to perform the mission of "Linux" island. As a result the college representative won the 3rd place.

RED OS is a multi-user, multitasking general-purpose operating system for servers and workstations, providing a universal environment for application software. The product has a certificate of FSTEC of Russia (№4060 of 12.01.2019), which confirms its compliance with information security requirements and allows its use in government information systems. RED OS is registered in the Unified Register of Russian Software and Databases of the Ministry of Communications of Russia (№3751).

"RED SOFT is aimed at long-term cooperation with the Murom College of Radio Electronic Instrument Engineering. We plan to join the educational process and take an active part in training new specialists," Rustam Rustamov, Deputy RED SOFT CEO, said.

"RED SOFT offers internship positions for students every year when organizing business probation. Thus, in 2020, 8 best college students took part in internships. The students easily pass their traineeships, because the educational programs for studying professional modules include courses on administration of the operating system RED OS and all practical classes are as close as possible to solving production problems", Alexander Makarov, Deputy Director for Educational and Production Work, added.
