The Ministry of Digital Development of Kaluga Region and RED SOFT signed a cooperation agreement

The Ministry of Digital Development of Kaluga Region and the Russian developer "RED SOFT" signed an agreement on cooperation and collaboration aiming to implement the program of import substitution of information technologies in the region. The ceremony of signing took place on August 12 at the Russian-wide forum "Digital Evolution" in Kaluga city.

Cooperation under the agreement will start with the transfer of workstations of the ministry's employees to the Russian operating system RED OS in the near future. Thus, the Ministry of Digital Development of Kaluga Region will become the first executive authority in the region to fully comply with software import substitution requirements. RED SOFT will continue to share its experience and competencies with other agencies in the region.

At the press briefing, Dmitry Razumovsky, Deputy Governor of the Kaluga Region, noted that signing agreements with RED SOFT and other developers is another important step towards software import substitution, which fits very well into the region's digital transformation strategy.

"In the near future, we plan to develop a roadmap for software import substitution together with the Kaluga Region Ministry of Digital Development, ensuring the continuity of processes and sustainable increase in the level of independence of IT infrastructure in the region. We are confident that our experience will ensure a smooth and "painless" transition to domestic software, which has already proven its overall competitiveness and security advantage. RED SOFT would like to thank the government of Kaluga Region for their trust and cooperation", Rustam Rustamov, Deputy RED SOFT CEO, commented.
