The "GosLinux" operating system, a component of Federal Bailiff' Servise's IT platform, is uploaded to The National Fund for Algorithms and Programs

August, 27, Federal Bailiff' Servise (FBS) of Russia together with Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation has successfully uploaded the "GosLinux" operating system, a component of standard Federal Bailiff' Servise's IT platform, to The National Fund for Algorithms and Programs. Goslinuks became the first certified operating system, based on free software, suitable for use in all government agencies, state non-budgetary funds and local governments. The development of the operating system for typical FBS's of Russia distribution package, named Goslinux (transliteration GosLinux is approved by the Institute of Linux Trademark), was conducted by FBS of Russia during 2013 within the framework of the Government contract for upgrade, implementation and maintenance of the subsystems of the Automated Information System of the Federal Bailiff' Service of Russia, and was based on the analysis of the bailiffs operational procedures, IT administrators requirements and the existing FBS's information technology infrastructure. The distribution is developed by the "Red Soft" company.
